Interview with Allan Castillo - Brand Manager of Team Mischievous

Team Mischievous is an e-sports organization that is currently being sponsored by Lynx Animation Studios and we wish them well in the future. Here is an interview with our very own Alan who's acting as the brand manager for the team:

Q: As a brand manager what is your opinion for the Macedonian E-sports in general?
A: Except the Hearthstone Tournament organized by Goblin Games, in Macedonia there is a lack of strategy and structure on how to properly organize and implement game tournaments. Currently young people in Macedonia do not have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of E-sports to their full potential. My ambition is to create an atmosphere where every video game can be played on a professional level and every successful individual will be inspired and motivated to do so.

Q: What motivated you to become a brand manager for the new Team Mischievous?
A: Personally, I love games. I do not have time to play them but I enjoy watching video game streams from time to time. My intention and goals to support the idea of successful and competitive team of young gaming enthusiasts has a positive impact over the Macedonian society and E-sport, gaming community and gaming spirit in Macedonia.

Q: Do you see any challenges, opportunities and possible improvements that can be made in the field of E-sports in Macedonia?  
A: There are plenty of challenges in the field of E-sports in Macedonia. Many people do not know what E-sports are and there is an enormous opportunity to educate, teach and help them organize E-sport events. The lack of organized tournaments is definitely one of the aspects I want to highlight. I hope that with active involvement the E-sports in Macedonia will become familiar not only to the gaming fans but also to the broader audience because the opportunities in E-sports are abounded. The E-sports scene in Macedonia is new and unexplored. A great example of a successful tournament is the Heart Stone Tournament organized by Goblin Games, something that inspires me as a brand manager to take a step forward and give my contribution. The lack of organization is present at this moment and it demotivates young people to join and be part of many gaming tournaments in Macedonia. My intention is to bring my international knowledge and experience and make Macedonian E-sports a better place for everyone.

Q: How did you come up with an idea for the name of the team “Mischievous”?
A: A friend of mine Kris is the one who thought of this name, he saw a picture of a raccoon looking mischievous and that is how this idea became alive.

Q: How much effort do you put to promote the team Mischievous?
A: Currently I manage several companies and my time is very limited, but I will do my best in the following period to promote this team in the best possible way because this is my passion and I love successful stories.

Q: What kind of action plans as a brand manager do you plan to undertake in order to promote the team Mischievous?  
A: Personally support the successful stories of this team, helping the players go abroad and represent team Mischievous as well as Macedonia.
We plan to implement digital marketing campaigns that will help the Macedonian community learn something more. Creating an E-Game federation is also a possibility in order to improve and organize many tournaments in Macedonia, and also create our own leagues in every competitive video game.  in Macedoniamost of , that are successful in organizing the Heart Stone tournament. Q: How many Hearthstone tournaments are following where the team Mischievous will be a part of?  
A: Novi-Sad is the most important one but we are looking into other regional tournaments that we can qualify. We are not participating in our own league due to the logistic reasons.

Q: For how many games the Team Mischievous have a team?  
A: League of Legends, DOTA 2, Hearthstone and CS: GO. We are constantly looking to expand in other competitive video games like FIFA, Mortal Combat XL, Smite, Overwatch, Heroes of the storm etc.
